This beautiful Felt Nativity Set in a Yurt will give children, family and friends hours of joy!  This 12 piece set and "yurt" container was handcrafted in Central Asia in workshops founded and run by women entrepreneurs, using all natural materials and age-old traditional felting methods first developed by Kyrgyz nomads to make their yurts and decorative rugs.  The result is a set made with thick, beautiful wool felt.  Each piece is sewn with wonderful attention to detail.  There are stars sewn with gold thread on the bags of gold, frankensense and myhrr brought by the wisemen, the angel has beads sewn to her robe and lovely curly hair, the men's beards are sewn on.  All sewing is done by hand.  The adult dolls are each about 6 inches tall.  The Yurt they all fit in for storing is about 7 1/2" across at the bottom.  This is a set that is sure to be a part of your holiday celebrating for years to come!  Made in Kyrgyzstan, Fair Trade.

The angel in the current sets is a little different than pictured. She is actually an angel ornament, made by the same folks - so she matches in style, but she has legs instead of a gown.
