This spectacular set includes an ark measuring 16" by 8" by 8", a removable ramp, 40 animals (20 pairs) and Noah and his wife.  This stunning boat is made of layers of exotic woods.  The cabin is made of wood and includes detailed windows and a roof which lifts off.  After lifting off the roof, you will see a divided attic which lifts off to reveal 3 chambers and two side windows.  All the animals fit carefully inside.  These animals are made from a variety of beautiful woods and are 7/16" thick.  The giraffe is 3 1/4" tall, and Noah is 2" tall.  This ark is handmade by a skilled German craftsman who now lives in the USA.  He uses 16 different types of wood in this set and includes a letter detailing which kinds of wood was used for each animal.  The wood is rubbed with certified non-toxic mineral oil to preserve the wood. This set makes a wonderful gift for a collector or a toy for a child at least 4 years old who does not put toys in his/her mouth.  Small animals are a choking hazard.  This is an heirloom quality toy which will be enjoyed for years and years.  Due to the incredible detail on the animals, some wood sections are quite thin.  This is really meant for an older child or very gentle child.
