Lisa Phenix's first CD is bluesy rock in the style of Bonnie Raitt and others. However, Phenix's tone is more upbeat. Songs such as "Silly Little Mama" and "Lazy Daisy May" burst with enthusiasm to the point of goofiness. It has plenty of guitar solos and lyrical themes like searching for a good man and loving chcoloate. Lisa's musical influences touch upon folk, blues, and jazz. Lisa is one of the top singers in the Sacramento, CA area and I've had the pleasure of participating in a birthday party she put on for my daughter - with grace and talent she had 8 girls singing and dancing and moving around! I am pleased to offer Lisa's CD for sale. While she loves to introduce children to music, her CD is really meant for adults - children will enjoy it too. Her CD is what I listen to night after night while I sew bean bags and make toys. After hearing it several hundred times (really!) I still love it. It would be a great gift for an adult - especially a woman - who enjoys a variety of styles of music. Don't head out on a car trip this summer without it!
