Our Balaclava is 100% wool on the outside with a second layer of soft merino wool for extra comfort during cold walks and playtime outside. A heavier hat can be warn over the balaclava, as well. These are great for keeping young children's head, neck, and face warm and protected from weather and wind.
Size Chart:
Small, Size 70, 14-21 pound child, 5-12 months old, 26-30 inches tall (shown on Baby Sara in first picture). What's the size of the Small? The Small Balaclava, laid flat, measured near the eye line is 13” from one edge of the face opening to the other. From the center top of the head to the should it is 9”. This is an unstretched garment.
Medium, Size 80, 20-27 pound child, 9-18 months old, 30-33 inches tall
Large, Size 90, 27-34 pound child, 2-3 years old, 34-38 inches tall (Note: I recently sold the size 90 to a large 4 year old kindergarden boy. It fit him perfectly and he was thrilled. He is quite large for his size, as big as my 5 year old son, so if you want to give it a try, you are welcome to return it if it is too small for your child. Unfortunately, they do not come in a bigger size.) What is the size of the Large? The Large Balaclava laid flat, near the eye line, is 15” from one edge of the face opening to the other. It is 10 ¼” from the center top of the head to the shoulder – this can spread out on the shoulder, tucked under a coat or sweater. This is an unstretched garment.
